This is a meticulously preserved edition of Aratus Solensis's Phaenomena and Diosmeia, foundational works in the field of astronomy and didactic poetry. Originally written in Greek, these poems describe the constellations and astronomical phenomena, offering invaluable insights into the astronomical knowledge of the Hellenistic period.
This edition includes contributions by Eratosthenes's Catasterismi and Theon of Alexandria, further enriching its historical and scientific value. Edited by John Fell, this version stands as a testament to the enduring influence of classical astronomical texts and their significance in the history of science and literature.
