The Gray Wolf's Daughter is a novel written by Gertrude Warden and was first published in 1894. The story revolves around a young girl named Naida, who is the daughter of a gray wolf. Naida is raised in the wilderness by her wolf mother and is taught how to hunt and survive in the forest. As she grows older, Naida becomes curious about the world beyond the forest and ventures out to explore. She meets a young man named Ivan, who is a hunter and becomes her friend. Naida learns about human society and develops feelings for Ivan. However, their relationship is frowned upon by the villagers, who view Naida as a wild creature. She is also hunted by a group of men who want to capture her and sell her to a circus. Naida and Ivan must fight to protect themselves and their love. The novel explores themes of identity, prejudice, and the conflict between civilization and nature. It is a classic tale of a wild creature trying to find her place in the world and the challenges she faces along the way. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
