Luke, while probably never having met the Savior, gives us some of the deepest insights into the life of Christ of any New Testament author. Rather than walk with Jesus, he communed with the Holy Spirit. That gave him, as he called it, A Perfect Understanding of our Savior's time here on Earth. In his Gospel he shares that understanding. As we prayerfully study the stories and lessons, as we watch Jesus interact with His disciples and others we find what it really means to be a follower of Christ. That is the lesson of Luke and, hopefully, the message of this book.
