The Gospel According to the Age is a comprehensive biblical, theological, philosophical, and cultural examination of the ideas reshaping modern society and quietly transforming the church. The book argues that modernism is more than a historical period, technological development, or preference for contemporary life. At its deepest level, it is a transfer of final authority from God and His revelation to autonomous humanity. It therefore functions increasingly as a rival religion, offering its own doctrines of truth, identity, freedom, morality, justice, salvation, worship, human fulfilment, and the future.

The book addresses some of the most urgent controversies confronting contemporary Christianity, including theological liberalism, progressive Christianity, the sexual revolution, LGBT-affirming theology, the breakdown of marriage and family, prosperity teaching, manifestation practices, church commercialisation, celebrity pastors, abusive spiritual authority, occultism disguised as prophecy, false deliverance, manufactured revival, women in pastoral office, compromising ecumenism, interfaith religion, political idolatry, ideological uses of human rights, artificial intelligence, digital Christianity, surveillance, transhumanism, and technocratic visions of the future.
Yet this is not merely a catalogue of cultural decline. It distinguishes legitimate modernisation from philosophical rebellion, acknowledges genuine achievements in science, medicine, education, communication, legal reform, and the protection of vulnerable people, and warns Christians against ignorance, hatred, political captivity, anti-intellectualism, unsupported conspiracy claims, and nostalgia for an imaginary golden age.
Rooted in the authority of Scripture, the book combines careful exegesis, historical analysis, scholarly evidence, pastoral discernment, and urgent spiritual exhortation. It speaks differently to false teachers, compromised leaders, confused believers, wounded people, young Christians, parents, scholars, pastors, and those seeking truth.
