The Gospel According to Peter and the Revelation of Peter: Two Lectures by Joseph A. Robinson is a book that explores two important texts from early Christianity. The first lecture delves into the Gospel of Peter, an apocryphal gospel that was likely written in the second century AD. Robinson examines the content of the text, its historical context, and its significance for the development of Christian theology. The second lecture focuses on the Revelation of Peter, another apocryphal text that was likely written in the second century AD. This text presents a vision of the afterlife and the judgment of souls, and Robinson analyzes its themes and motifs in relation to other early Christian texts.Throughout the book, Robinson provides historical and theological context for these texts, as well as insights into their relevance for contemporary Christian thought. This book is a valuable resource for scholars and lay readers alike who are interested in early Christianity and the development of Christian theology. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
