Rooted in culture and hope, the collection Good Brown Girls illuminates the lived experiences of brown women navigating heritage, identity, and self-discovery.
While carrying the weight and wisdom of where they come from, they continue learning, growing, and becoming themselves.
From anjaan (unknown) to jaan (known to the heart), these poems journey across emotion, memory, environment, and ancestry, painting vivid portraits of and for Good Brown Girls - all tinted by the author's lived experience.
These poems and experiences are written about, because of, for, and in honor of Good Brown Girls.
