Not long after the disaster at the Shackleton Moon Base, a deep-sea ore-mining rig goes dark. The crew of Shackleton tried to toss the monster attacking them into the sun, and failed. Both pilots died. But some of the ship survived and was towed into Earth orbit for examination. The tight orbit around the sun has destroyed all but the outer structure. And yet, something falls from it and splashes down in the Pacific Ocean, directly above that mining rig on the ocean floor.
Moon Jae-in has a pretty good idea what fell into the ocean, and he wants nothing to do with it. That is, until the company gives him an offer he can't refuse: be their consultant, and all sins are forgiven. He can have his life back. But more than that, maybe he can exercise the monster inside, the one he brought back with him from the Moon, which now lives in his nightmares.
Where once you ascended to the Moon for a terrifying adventure, now descend to the bottom of the ocean to confront a horror that defies science, reason, and all hope.
In the deep, there be Golems.
