This comprehensive anthology of contemporary British and American Verse is the most important and appealing. It excels all earlier anthologies of poetry. It begins with W.B. Yeats, the Nobel Prize winner, (b. 1865) the first modern poet. We have included the modernist, and post-modern British and American poets who were born after 1930. Nearly three hundred poems of one hundred twenty-five poets in total. There are brief biographical sketches with photos of each poet to help the students and teachers of the post-graduate and college levels, to know more about the poets and their poems. It is a good textbook as well as a good reference book for them and also to the common readers of poetry. For students and teachers, the hard copy of the book is more palpable in hand than the soft copies available in the computer and mobiles for teaching in the classrooms.
