These lyrics from Waterdeep have been my most earnest prayer lately.
I have asked God and Christ to put in me what I cannot buy with gold, put in me what I cannot give myself, put in me a clean heart.
I have asked God and Christ to come into my Heart and cleanse my Heart with the Waters of Life.
I have often found myself crying while listening to this song and other Waterdeep songs.
The music is truly beautiful and touches the Heart.
I am compiling this book as a devotional offering to the Heart of God.
My life has taken me on a strange, winding journey...
One I could never have anticipated...
And it has led me to the unshakeable conclusion that:
Love is the Answer.
The Final Answer.
The Answer we are all looking for.
The Medicine that can heal mankind's woes.
I understand how this may sound.
Another loopy-doopy hippie spoutin' off nonsense.
I would've probably felt that way too at some point in my life.
I had to try to tell you, though.
I had to try to tell this world about the unbreakable Love in our Heart of Hearts.
When my Heart feels this Love that some call God, I know it is Truth.
The Love reveals and confirms itself.
It shines forth from the eyes of my daughter.
It sings itself through the light of the sun.
It is woven through all that we are.
It is our essence.
My story is not so important.
I am just another flawed man.
Yet by the Grace of God, Love was shown to me.
Love came to me like a blinding White Light.
At other times it came as a soft whisper.
At other times it came as a throbbing tenderness.
At other times it came as visions of Christ and Anandamayi Ma.
At times it came as laughter.
At times it came as irrepressible torrents of tears.
At times it came as joy.
At others, as pain.
The Mystery of Love cleaned my Heart.
This cleaning is ongoing.
Love changed me.
God and Christ changed me through the direct revelation of Love.
God is Christ is Love is Light is Truth.
Do not fixate on the specific words I'm using.
This Love cannot be said.
Just know that it is with you.
It surrounds you.
It enfolds you.
It cradles you like a newborn babe.
It is what life is made of.
It is Home.
It is the wellspring at the center of all.
All comes from Love, and all will return to Love.
In a profound sense, Love is all that there is.
You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.
You shall come to know the meaning of these words.
As sure as the sun shall radiate.
As sure as the ocean crashes upon the sands.
You shall return Home to Love.
And in so doing, you shall realize that you never left.
For the Father is with us now.
The Mother is with us now.
We are children of the One Heart.
We are held.
We are Loved.
