This is a powerful and inspirational story about an incredible journey from poverty to prosperity. When men saw Bebe, they didn't see color, they saw beauty. The saintliest men had sinful thoughts when Bebe passed them by. The tragedies she faced-stereotypical attitudes and bigotry-would have kept most people down, but for this woman of beauty and faith, these were merely stepping-stones.
