Gidget and her little sister, Fidget, are enjoying a beautiful day in the garden when a brilliant rainbow suddenly begins falling straight toward them. BOOM! Led by Captain The Captain, the gnomes reveal that rainbows carry color between the earth and the sky. If every piece of the broken rainbow isn't found before the last light of day, the garden's colors may be lost forever.
Gidget, Fidget, and their new friends race against the setting sun to recover each missing color. One piece is burning hot. Another won't stop bouncing. One is hidden among the leaves, another is carried away by a bird, and still another is far too high for a gnome to reach.
Just when everyone thinks the rainbow is complete, they discover one tiny piece is still missing-and time has run out.
