A snow blizzard in the North of England forces four hikers to break into a half-built house. Confined to one room for heat they hunker down to tell each other stories by firelight. All is not well as rivalry and jelousies soon appear, leaving the four struggling to make sense of their lives. Added to this Hart's Horn Hall reveals its own surplus of drama, helping to produce a tinderbox of emotion, set to erupt. Ten ghostly tales woven from folk lore and human desire set against a background of isolation and claustrophobia.
