This supplement to the German Replacement Army (Ersatzheer), February 1945 edition (second yellow book), is published for the purpose of eliminating obsolete information printed in that volume and of supplying new data on the German replacement army. It presents a detailed picture of the replacement army as it existed just before its complete collapse. This supplement discusses important developments connected with the administrative organization and functioning of the replacement army, aided Allied personnel by directing them to the right places for the answers to specialized technical questions regarding conscription, replacements, or military schools and training, and also helped in checking the accuracy of information on the German home army to be demanded of the Germans themselves. Document topics include replacements and training units, schools, and maneuver areas according to Wehrkreis, and training and replacement of the Waffen-SS.
