Die Schlussepisode Des Rigomerromanes presents a critical edition of the concluding episode of the 'Rigomer Romance, ' a significant work of medieval German literature. This edition, meticulously prepared by Eugen Pessen, offers a critical text accompanied by a comprehensive introduction and detailed annotations. The 'Rigomer Romance, ' attributed to Jehan, is a notable example of Arthurian romance, showcasing the chivalric ideals and narrative conventions of the medieval period. This edition provides scholars and enthusiasts with valuable insights into the text's literary and historical context, shedding light on its language, themes, and cultural significance. The introduction delves into the manuscript tradition, authorship, and reception of the romance, while the annotations clarify obscure passages and explore interpretative possibilities. This book is an essential resource for those interested in medieval German literature, Arthurian studies, and manuscript studies.
