English summary: Political conflicts are documented by images, but may also be provoked by them. There are images of power, but there is also the power of images. The history of the political image is therefore a history of image politics. This volume is an introduction to political iconography as defined by the art historian Martin Warnke (1937-2019) and outlines a political iconology of the 21st century. Jahrhunderts.
