Versorgt mit einem Zelt, Werkzeug, Nahrung und einem Fa Wasser beginnt für den Robinson wider Willen nun ein unbarmherziger Überlebenskampf auf einer staubtrockenen und von Rattenschwärmen bevölkerten Hölle auf Erden. Bosch hält sich mit der durchaus begründeten Hoffnung am Leben, da ihn ein vorbeikommendes Schiff auf dem Weg nach Europa früher oder später entdecken und mitnehmen wird. Die Hoffnung stirbt ja, wie wir alle wissen, zuletzt.
