Geschichte Der Reformation Bis Zur Vollendung Der Concordien-Formel by August Emil Frey offers a detailed historical account of the Reformation up to the completion of the Formula of Concord and the first publication of the Book of Concord on June 25, 1580. This volume is dedicated to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America as a jubilee offering for its double jubilee commemoration.
Frey meticulously chronicles the events, figures, and theological developments that shaped the Reformation, providing valuable insights into the complexities and nuances of this pivotal period in Christian history. The book examines the key controversies, debates, and compromises that led to the formulation of the Concordien-Formel, a significant statement of Lutheran doctrine.
This historical work provides readers with a comprehensive understanding of the Reformation's impact on religious, political, and social landscapes, making it an essential resource for scholars, theologians, and anyone interested in the history of Christianity.
