Festvortrag Am Geburts- Und Huldigungstage Sr. Majestät Des Königs Friedrich Wilhelm IV. Gehalten In Der Grossen Synagoge Zu Breslau Am 15 October 1840... is a historical sermon delivered by Abraham Geiger. This oration was given in the Great Synagogue of Breslau on October 15, 1840, to celebrate the birthday and pay homage to King Friedrich Wilhelm IV. Geiger, a prominent figure in Reform Judaism, addresses the congregation on this significant occasion, blending religious discourse with civic duty. This text provides insight into the relationship between the Jewish community and the Prussian monarchy during the 19th century and showcases Geiger's intellectual approach to faith and society. It stands as a testament to a specific moment in history, capturing the cultural and political climate of the era.
