Feierlich Dankbare Gedächtnis Erzählung is an 18th-century German funeral oration that provides a glimpse into the religious and social customs of the time. Authored by Benedictus Friepeis, Thomas Aquinas Erhard, Sebastian Linz, and Engelbert Khaeppler, this work serves as a historical document, reflecting the cultural values and religious beliefs prevalent in German-speaking regions. The text offers insights into the eulogistic traditions and memorial practices of the period. Its enduring value lies in its ability to transport readers back to a specific moment in history, allowing them to understand the worldviews and social structures that shaped the lives of people in the 1700s.
