Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich Sport - Theorie und Praxis der Sportarten, Note: 2,7, Universität Duisburg-Essen (Sport- und Bewegungswissenschaften), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich speziell mit der Entwicklung und den Perspektiven des Mädchenbasketballs in Düsseldorf. Ausgehend von der Frage, wie die Entwicklung des Mädchenbasketballs allgemein ist und wie sich die Geschlechterrolle im Basketball aufteilt, sollen Fakten und Statistiken herangezogen werden. Zunächst werden historische Grundinformationen erläutert und geschlechterspezifische Unterschiede in der Sportwelt, speziell im Basketball, vorgestellt. Konnten sich die Mädchen und Frauen im Basketball durchsetzen und auch signifikante Erfolge genie en oder ist die Sportart nach wie vor stark von einer Männerdominanz geprägt? Im Anschluss folgt die Forschung. Es wird zunächst die Entstehung der Forschungsfrage und das persönliche Interesse an der Thematik erläutert. Darauf folgt die Beschreibung des Forschungsablaufes. Im weiteren Verlauf erfolgen die Datenerhebung und die Erklärung des Verfahrens zur Datenauswertung. Die Ergebnisse werden tabellarisch vorgestellt und anschlie end im Hinblick auf die Forschungsfrage analysiert und interpretiert. Zuletzt sollte darauf hingewiesen werden, dass die vorliegende Arbeit eine explorative Studie am Beispiel der Stadt Düsseldorf ist und durch die mangelnde Literatur und Datenerfassung in Bezug auf Mädchenbasketball keine konkreten Konzepte aufweist.
