I did not understand then that a place could both raise you and wound you with the same steady hands, or that love could endure long after the people who gave it had changed or gone. I knew only fragments of light-my brother's laughter, my father's strength before it bent under too much weight, my mother's voice before it was reshaped by something we could not fight, and the simple order of porch lights flickering on each night as if the world still made sense.
Autobiography: Dr. James M. Copas, LLM., LLM., is a lifelong student of the law, a passionate writer, and a storyteller at heart. Born and raised in Hamilton, Ohio, his journey has taken him through distinguished academic institutions, including Miami University, the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, Stetson University College of Law, The John Marshall Law School, and the University of Illinois Law School at Chicago, where he pursued advanced legal studies in international law and intellectual property.
Yet beyond his accomplishments in law, this book reveals another side of Dr. Copas-one rooted in imagination, faith, and the enduring power of family. Inspired by what he describes as a God-given spark, he brings to life a world where dragons soar, courage is tested, and love remains the greatest force of all.
