In the forty years since he first started serving the Lord, Robert Ussery has traveled and preached to many denominations. Every church has said, We have the truth. Jesus came to bear record of the truth. Pilate said, What is truth? (John 18:38). There have been many different responses as to who Jesus was:
-God the Son
-A created being
-An angel
-A man
-He was God
What is the truth? It lies in the final authority: the Bible.
In From the Housetops: Who Was Jesus Christ?, Robert closely examines Scripture and compiles various doctrinal views of who Jesus was to plainly show how He went from a flesh and blood man to Lord and Christ. Readers will be taken from Jesus's birth through His baptism, ministry, death, burial, resurrection, and glorification. Many hard to understand scriptures are explained, and further study-included within fifteen appendices-focus on more specific subjects, such as Jesus was a man, there is only one God, the glorification of Jesus, and more.
This study is one that would be best kept next to a Bible on a night stand for quick reference, for by this study's end, the truth will win out. Born in Florida and raised in New York State, Bob Ussery was active in his local church. He joined the Boy Scouts by age ten, took his first drink at seventeen, and was admitted to a hospital for alcoholism by twenty-one. He prayed if God would deliver him, he would spend the rest of his life serving Him. The Lord gave him a beautiful wife, Margy, and daughter, Katie Joy. He and Margy were married thirty-one years before she died of cancer. Still sober forty-six years later, a Spirit-filled Robert plans to go to Mumisa, Kenya, to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
