From Dark to Light is a book of heartfelt poetic words filled with profound messages. Every poem is based on a true story with a message that is intended to uplift and inspire others. During times of darkness, poetry can act as a burning torch held over your head during the darkest of nights. Just as a simple act of kindness can save the life of another, the smallest flame will allow one to see in a room with no light. Life is full of ups and downs and learning to dance in the rain is a wonderful way to tip the scale in your favor and make the best out of everything. The perspective one has on life has a profound influence on how dark times are handled. It is much easier to fold and crumble in the face of adversity than it is to remain standing tall and strong. Life gives us friends and family to help us along the way but not all things are divided equally amongst us all. That's why we've been given the beautiful blessing of having books. We can always reach over for a good book and get lost in a story or in this case, be uplifted and inspired by poetry. May the poetry written in this book be received with the love and light that is intended. May you find peace and comfort through the words in which you may resonate. May you feel love wrapped around you as you read each poem. May you be filled with strength and confidence to always find your way out of the darkness and back into the light. It is never too late to rise from the ashes. Believe in yourself! No matter what has happened, you are worthy! You have what it takes to find your way through the dark and find your light. Shine bright and make the rest of your life the best of your life.
