Never shy of being honest with his poetry, From a Place Called Heart is a collection of works from the outstanding poet D.M. Daye. His work deals with deep held emotions which touch each and every one of us, and is able to do so with a truth and beauty which at times can bring a tear to the eye or light into the darkness. This poet is not afraid to tackle subjects which some veer away from, his work holds a mirror up to today's society and demands that the reader looks further into their own environment, things which we can all walk by without realizing he points out unashamedly. There is a beauty in all that surrounds us, the streets, nature, each other, in our love and in what we stand for, there is beauty and all we need do is open our eyes.
