James and Molly had enjoyed a steady relationship over the past year and regularly went rambling over weekend getaways. This idyllic state was shattered when after hitching a lift to the start of a South Downs track, they are driven off road, James assaulted and drugged, and Molly bundled into the back of a 4x4 and whisked away. Meanwhile, Molly does her best to escape from her kidnapping which appears to be random and meaningless - but isn't. There is romance and humour along the way and, with changing circumstances and some diversions, the plot gradually unfolds to resolve this intriguing and puzzling thriller to a surprising conclusion.
