Forty Days that Changed the World is a narrative history of the early Christian church from the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus through the end of the Apostolic Age and the death of the last witness to the resurrection. Dr. Rowe describes how Jesus physically rose from the dead and appeared on ten separate occasions to hundreds of witnesses. This book is thoroughly researched from the earliest sources available, including the canonical and non-canonical gospels, the Acts of the Apostles and accounts that purport to be the Acts of individual Apostles, the letters of Paul, Peter and John, the writings of the Early Church Fathers from Clement of Rome through Jerome, and the histories of Eusebius, Josephus, Tacitus, Suetonius and Cassius Dio. Dr. Rowe presents an accurate account of the origins of Christianity and, in the course of doing so, he presents a convincing case that the resurrection of Jesus was a true historical event.
