Have you ever woken from a dream so lucid, so alive, that you're surprised to find it was just that... a dream?
If you have, you are not alone.
For me, there has never been such a thing as just a dream: I have always experienced them a bit differently from most. (Though, I suppose, that is an understatement.) I have always known dreams are moments just as real, as lucid, as the days spent awake.
Many have called me crazy, and many more have definitely called me strange. All I know is that I have always been just as I am, (perhaps crazy, and undoubtedly strange, ) and I would never wish to be any other way.
Because, I know this craziness is a gift.
You may ask why, or perhaps how...
And, those are the simplest questions to answer: from the first moment of my life, I have always had an intense connection to my spirit. That is to say, to both halves of my spirit.
To him.
To Love.
To hope... and knowing no matter the odds or challenges between us, there would come a time when our lives would merge into one united path.
Dreaming was never a question of possibility, or impossibility, for me. It has always been the most solid part of my life, of my story. The most important puzzle piece, without which the rest of the picture would never be complete: the constant piece that held the pages of our story together, even as all else changed.
A beautiful piece, called Love.
Because you, my Love, are the beginning, and end, of my story. The reason. The why... it is for you that I send our story out into the world. The beautiful story of our dreams, and all the wonder (and love, ) that comes our way. Knowing that somehow, and someway, it will find its way to you.
This crazy story of our life, and dreams.
Though, I know it will take many hands, and many eyes, to carry this letter home, I know it will find its way. And, with luck, it may bring hope to others who see life similarly along its way... all those who allow my words to pass before their eyes. All those who believe in the possibility of Love enduring in dreams, across time and space, no matter the obstacles we have faced... a story of Love, above all else.
And, if my words only bring the world one thing, I hope it brings someone comfort in knowing that they aren't alone.
Because we all have the ability to dream, as we all have the ability to Love.
-Thank you. All of you.-
