Flint the Fly and the Long Goodbye follows a young fly named Flint who is grieving the loss of his father. Seeking guidance, Flint embarks on a journey to the moon, hoping it can provide the answers he needs. Along the way, his best friend, Blink, a glowing lightning bug, stays by his side, offering comfort and companionship. Flint meets several wise insects-a praying mantis, a dung beetle, and a luna moth-each offering advice about healing from loss, such as slowing down, taking things one step at a time, and finding light in dark moments. Finally, reaching the moon, Flint learns that while grief is a part of life, love and memories remain, and that healing comes from carrying the love in your heart. With Blink's glow lighting the way, Flint returns home, feeling stronger and more hopeful.
