Mother was known for little desserts. Everyone had high praise for her special creations. So dainty and delectable!! All encouraged this new enterprise. Father, who believed a mother belonged in the home, had no objection to a business operating from the kitchen. The kids; they looked forward to special eats, always close at hand. Before they knew it, her oven was producing many a sweet treasure. Prized by one and all, Family Fancies soon became famous.
However, no one anticipated the hidden sacrifices, which would thoroughly disrupt their normal life. It was not easy, providing the world with mom's Family Fancies. Once begun, their homelife was never the same. They came to learn; what seems sweet, might also be difficult to digest.
Fortunately, success did not spoil; and dissent did not displace. As families often find a way to endure, they learned to adjust. Endurance and adaptation, allowed everyone to prosper; each in their own noteworthy way. Because, just as mother's Family Fancies were very special, so too were the members of this unique family.
