The book examines Holland's role as a paid FBI informant, his discussions with Detective Render about multiple killings, and the extraordinary circumstances surrounding his cooperation with law enforcement. The transcripts allow readers to encounter the words exchanged inside the interrogation room for themselves-including discussions about what happened, who was involved, why victims were killed, and the effort to clear homicide cases and provide answers to families.
