The world is becoming a busy place. With the rise of the internet, multimedia cell-phones, handheld video games and multichannel television, people have to be able to parallel process and have less time and attention for any individual task. Personal leisure time for working people with families may be confined to the time spent commuting - or even just sitting on the toilet. Any such precious time needs to be spent in a focused and enjoyable way. It is with this in mind that these ultra-short (most about 1000 words long, though a few are a bit longer) stories have been written and collected into an anthology - just for these, hopefully, enjoyable lulls between work and family.
