The Friend in the Fridge is the story of a boy, his blob and how sometimes, friends can come from the unlikeliest of places - even the back of the fridge!
Lenny is a young boy with lots of friends. That's if you class the trees and the leaves and the walls he plays football against as friends. Low on confidence and struggling at school, Lenny feels a little lost. When his parents experience a difficult period, Lenny is stuck between helping himself and helping his family. But all that changes when he opens the door to his fridge. And discovered Thingamy, a mysterious talking blob.
Throughout this journey of friendship, confidence and discovery, Lenny and Thingamy embark on a truly heart-warming tale that takes them from the fridge to the local junkyard, and an adventurous and perilous ending.
The Friend in the Fridge is written by Joe Bor, comic, filmmaker and writer. Known for his work on the stand-up circuit, and his creative and unique filmmaking, Joe is perfectly placed to write stories that appeal to children of all ages. The Friend in the Fridge is aimed at children from 7 - 9 years of age and mixes the message of confidence and friendship with comedy and humour that only an experienced comedian can offer.
