La Vie De Messire François Picquet, Consul De France Et De Hollande À Alep recounts the life of François Picquet, a prominent figure in 18th-century French history. This biography by Charles-Léonce Anthelmy details Picquet's career as a French and Dutch consul in Aleppo, his subsequent roles as Évêque De Césarople and then de Babylone, and his service as a Vicaire Apostolique en Perse. The narrative also highlights Picquet's diplomatic mission as the King's ambassador to the King of Persia. This historical account offers insights into French diplomacy, religious affairs, and the life of a remarkable individual who played a significant role in both European and Middle Eastern affairs during a transformative period.
