God's goodness is much talked about, his cruelty less so, but Jean-Louis Fournier decided to remind us about all the God of Love's Machiavellian inventions, all that can turn human life into hell. In fact, God doesn't love men: that is the message this insolent, cheerful book conveys for the greatest entertainment of the free spirited reader.
