Un spectre hante le Maghreb: le spectre du communisme. Il est grand temps que les communistes du Maghreb exposent à la face du monde entier, leurs conceptions, leurs buts et leurs tendances; qu'ils opposent au conte de la petite bourgeoisie un programme communiste clair.
Pour expliquer aux ouvriers qu'aucune réforme de la société capitaliste ne les mettra à l'abri des perpétuelles fluctuations de salaire qui en sont la loi inéluctable.

Pour faire éclater à leurs yeux l'irréductible opposition entre le parti du prolétariat communiste et tous les autres partis de la société bourgeoise

Que Le matérialisme historique ne fait pas beaucoup de place à la volonté des capitalistes ou à l'esprit anti-démocratique des bureaucrates. Il montre comment s'engendrent et se succèdent historiquement divers modes de production régis par des lois déterminées, qu'il étudie avec une grande minutie. Il ne se contente pas de dire que le capitalisme est l'exploitation de l'homme par l'homme, bien que ce soit une formule d'agitation excellente, car cette caractéristique est commune aux différents modes de production qui se sont succédé depuis la dissolution du communisme primitif et ne permet donc d'en distinguer aucun. Marx montre précisément comment cette exploitation s'effectue dans le mode de production capitaliste dont il identifie et démonte les principaux rouages: capital, salariat, plus-value, intérêt, rente foncière. Il ne dit pas seulement que le communisme est la suppression de la propriété privée des moyens de production (formule impudemment exploitée par la contre-révolution), il précise aussi que le communisme est l'ABOLITION DU SALARIAT.
