Une Poignée De Documents Inédits Concernant Mme De Warens (1726-1754), by Albert Metzger, offers a collection of previously unpublished documents relating to Madame de Warens, a significant figure in the life of Jean-Jacques Rousseau. The documents were discovered in London's archives, the state archives in Turin, and the ancient Tabellion of Chambéry. This compilation provides valuable insights into her life and times. The book offers historians and enthusiasts a deeper understanding of Mme. de Warens and her role in the social and intellectual landscape of 18th-century France, shedding light on her interactions and influence. It remains a crucial resource for anyone researching Rousseau, his circle, or the broader history of the period.
