Une Paroisse Rurale Au Duché D'alençon, Saint-germain-de-clairefeuille: Des Origines De La Paroisse À 1790, by Henry Renault, vicomte Du Motey, offers a detailed historical study of the parish of Saint-Germain-de-Clairefeuille in the Duchy of Alençon, France. This meticulously researched work traces the origins and development of the parish from its earliest beginnings up to the year 1790, providing valuable insights into the social, religious, and administrative aspects of rural life in the region.
Drawing upon historical records and local archives, Du Motey presents a comprehensive account of the parish's evolution, exploring its relationship with the surrounding community and the broader historical context of the Duchy of Alençon. This book is an invaluable resource for historians, genealogists, and anyone interested in the history of rural France and the influence of the Church in shaping local society. The text offers a glimpse into a bygone era, capturing the essence of a rural parish and its people.
