Nouvelles Considérations Sur Le Planisphère De Dendéra examines the Dendera Zodiac, an ancient Egyptian bas-relief carving found in the Hathor temple at Dendera. In this work, Charles Hippolyte Paravey critiques interpretations of the monument, notably those of M. Biot. Through calculations and employing the projection system of M. Delambre, Paravey argues that the Dendera Zodiac primarily represents the sphere of Hipparchus.
This book offers insights into the historical understanding of astronomy and the interpretation of ancient artifacts, making it a valuable resource for those interested in Egyptology, archaeoastronomy, and the history of science.
