A 27 ans, Claude Vorilhon, jeune journaliste français, est pilote de courses et rédacteur en chef d'un magazine français de sport automobile.
Le 13 décembre 1973, sa vie est bouleversée lorsque, dans le cratère d'un volcan éteint, près de Clermont Ferrand, il voit apparaître un OVNI. Un petit être en sort et va lui révéler des informations capitales sur l'origine de l'humanité
- Des êtres venus d'une autre planète, les Elohim, ont créé scientifiquement toute forme de vie sur Terre, grâce à leur parfaite maîtrise de l'ingénierie génétique;
- Il n'y a pas de Dieu et pas d'âme s'envolant du corps après la vie;
- Des écrits anciens (dont la Genèse) parlent de l'oeuvre de ces Elohim. Ce mot pluriel ELOHIM a été traduit injustement par dieu alors qu'en hébreu il signifie Ceux qui sont venus du ciel;
- Jésus est né de l'union d'un de ces Elohim avec une femme de la terre, il a eu pour mission de créer un mouvement diffusant les messages bibliques originels en prévision de notre ère: l'Âge de l'Apocalypse, époque où tout le monde peut comprendre grâce à nos connaissances scientifiques (Apocalypse signifie en grec: Âge de la Révélation);
- Moïse, Bouddha, Mahomet et tous les grands Prophètes ont également été envoyés par ces extraterrestres, les Elohim;
- Depuis 1945, nous sommes entrés dans l'Âge de l'Apocalypse, l'Âge de la Révélation, époque annoncée à laquelle le peuple de David retrouve son pays (création de l'État d'Israël), les aveugles peuvent voir (prothèse électronique), l'homme fait porter sa voix par-delà les océans (satellites de télécommunications) et s'égale à ses créateurs en synthétisant l'ADN en laboratoire et en fabriquant les premières formes de vie artificielle.
Cet extraterrestre lui donne le nom de Raël (étymologiquement, celui qui apporte la lumière).
Tout en apportant un éclairage sur le passé et les interprétations des textes anciens, ce message, transmis en 1973, donne une vision révolutionnaire sur notre époque et le futur de l'Humanité.
