Le Juif errant (The Wandering Jew) is a novel by Eugène Sue, first published in 1844. This edition represents Volume 3 of the original publication. A sprawling and influential work of 19th-century French literature, the novel follows the intertwined destinies of the descendants of a family whose ancestors were involved in the condemnation of Jesus. The titular 'wandering Jew' is condemned to roam the earth until the Second Coming.
