This is a biography of Guillaume Alexis, also known as the good monk of Lyre, prior of Bucy. The book explores Alexis's life and works, placing him within the context of 15th-century France. Guéry delves into the historical background and offers an assessment of Alexis's contributions to French literature. This study sheds light on a figure whose writings reflect the religious and cultural currents of the late Middle Ages.
