La Folie De Jérôme Pointu, Ou Le Procureur Devenu Fou is a delightful two-act comedy in prose by Villeneuve (citoyenne). This play offers a glimpse into the social and political landscape of late 18th-century France, likely reflecting the tumultuous period surrounding the French Revolution. Through humor and satire, Villeneuve explores the themes of madness, justice, and societal upheaval, making it a fascinating read for scholars and enthusiasts of French literature and history. This edition preserves the original language and structure, allowing readers to experience the play as it was originally intended. This play will entertain both academic and casual readers.
