Éloge De Duplessis-Mornay is a historical discourse by Henri Charles Pineu Duval, awarded a prize by the Athénée de Niort in May 1809. The text celebrates the life and contributions of Philippe de Mornay, a prominent 16th-century French Huguenot writer, statesman, and theologian.
This work provides insight into Mornay's significant role during the French Wars of Religion and his intellectual influence on European Protestantism. Duval's laudatory account offers a valuable perspective on Mornay's enduring legacy and his impact on French history and literature. A classic work for scholars and enthusiasts interested in the Reformation period, religious history, and French biographical studies.
