Cet ouvrage couronne la grande trilogie consacrée aux trois Personnes de Sainte Trinité par l'abbé Laurentin selon le plan de Jean Paul II pour la préparation du grand jubilé de l'an 2000: la première Personne en dernier, en 1999.
