Après les trois premières Parties, qui déployaient le Père Universel, l'univers local et l'histoire d'Urantia, ce volume entre dans le récit qui les couronne: l'effusion de Micaël, le Fils Créateur de Nébadon, vécue sur notre monde sous le nom de Jésus de Nazareth.
Trente-huit fascicules, des origines de l'effusion jusqu'à la confession de Pierre: la naissance et l'enfance, les années difficiles de Nazareth, l'adolescence et le métier, les longues années de préparation, les voyages jusqu'à Rome et autour de la Méditerranée, le baptême et les quarante jours, le choix et l'ordination des douze, puis le déploiement du ministère public - le royaume des cieux, la paternité de Dieu et la fraternité des hommes, les paraboles, les tournées de Galilée et de Judée.
Conçu pour les groupes d'étude comme pour la lecture personnelle, ce compagnon ne remplace pas le texte: il l'éclaire. Fidèle à la manière dont Jésus enseignait lui-même, chaque fascicule touche d'abord le coeur, éclaire ensuite l'intellect, puis élève l'esprit. Trois niveaux de lecture cohabitent dans un même document - pour celui qui découvre comme pour celui qui approfondit.
Parce qu'ici la révélation passe par le récit, chaque compagnon suit la vie de Jésus scène par scène:
- une ouverture qui relie la scène au vécu, avant toute explication;
- le déroulement du récit et son enseignement, appuyés sur le texte;
- une intégration spirituelle, pour passer du comprendre au percevoir;
- des pratiques en forme de question vive - qu'aurais-je fait ? que m'enseigne cette scène ?;
- des questions étagées du coeur vers l'esprit, un glossaire fidèle au vocabulaire du Livre, et des notes pour l'hôte du groupe.
Son seul but, celui que le Livre se donne lui-même: élargir la conscience cosmique et rehausser la perception spirituelle.
