The Fraternitatis Rosae Crucis is a book written by R. Swinburne Clymer that delves into the history and teachings of the Rosicrucian Order, a secret society that emerged in Europe during the early 17th century. The author provides a comprehensive overview of the origins of the Rosicrucian movement, tracing its roots to ancient Egypt and the mystery schools of the Middle East. He also explores the various branches of the Rosicrucian Order, including the Fama Fraternitatis, Confessio Fraternitatis, and Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreutz. Throughout the book, Clymer discusses the symbolism and philosophy of the Rosicrucian tradition, including its emphasis on spiritual transformation, alchemy, and the pursuit of universal knowledge. He also examines the role of the Rosicrucians in shaping the history of Western civilization, from their influence on the development of science and medicine to their involvement in the founding of America. Overall, The Fraternitatis Rosae Crucis provides a fascinating glimpse into the esoteric world of the Rosicrucians, shedding light on their beliefs, practices, and impact on the course of human history.1929. This work is an attempt to harmonize the spirit of the writings of those who are known to have been Rosicrucians and a comparison of the statements of those recognized as authorities, with extensive analysis and annotations. It was with the thought of answering in an authoritative manner, the more or less complex questions which are agitating the minds of many who are deeply interested in mystical and occult subjects, that this work was undertaken. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
