Francis Lambert of Avignon 1487-1530: A Study in Reformation Origins is a historical book by Roy Lutz Winters that examines the life and contributions of Francis Lambert, a French theologian and reformer who played a significant role in the early stages of the Protestant Reformation. The book delves into Lambert's background and upbringing, his education, his religious beliefs and his interactions with other key figures of the Reformation such as Martin Luther and John Calvin. Winters also explores Lambert's role in spreading the ideas of the Reformation across Europe, particularly in France and England, as well as his attempts to reform the church from within. The book provides a detailed analysis of Lambert's theological views and his impact on the Reformation movement, making it a valuable resource for scholars and students of religious history. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
