This book contains three short stories that chronicle a portion of the life and times of Sam Sanderson.
It is the companion book and prequel to the novel; MONKEY RODEO - The Russian Treasure.
Story 1 tells the tale of Sam's early childhood in California. Tragedy strikes his family not once, but twice.
A strange twist of fate years later brings the sad memory back to the present.
Story 2 is a mid-life tale of Sam's travels in the Philippine Islands. Sam and his lady friend take a romantic trip an isolated, small island.
Sam learns several cultural lessons and explores a primitive and beautiful place in the Philippine Sea. Many photographs bring the story to light.
Story 3 is an account of Sam's early days as a consruction worker, logger and 'fixer' for a crime family in Deadwood, South Dakota.
Sam learns several lessons about survival as he travels to Los Angeles on a mission for the manager of a house of ill repute.
