The Forest of Whispering Leaves - Book One
When their grandmother, the beloved village healer Melynda, vanishes into a forbidden forest, three siblings refuse to leave her behind. Alex, fourteen, trained as a wizard; Adeline, thirteen, a warrior of fierce courage; and Finn, ten, a forest ranger with senses sharp enough to hear what the wild world whispers - together they enter a forest gripped by darkness and corruption.
Deep in the forest they are met by a Sylvan Guardian who gives them three enchanted weapons their grandmother prepared years before: the Staff of Lumen, the Vivus Bow, and the Emberblade. Armed and guided by a loyal robin, an ancient owl, and the grateful creatures of the forest, the siblings battle corrupted Thorn-Wraiths and shadow wolves as they push toward the heart of the darkness.
At the forest's centre, on an island ringed by a lake of still stars, stands a castle where their grandmother is held captive - her light being drained to fuel a jealous spirit's power. But the spirit is no simple monster. It is the broken half of Stevazar, the forest's true guardian, whose soul split in two when a spell went wrong centuries ago.
Armed with their grandmother's spell of rejoining, the siblings free Stevazar and face the spirit in a final battle at the tower's summit. The forest is saved - but in the chaos of sealing the portal, all three children are swept through to the other side.
As the portal closes, only Finn hears it - a single cold thought slipping through the shrinking light from whatever waits beyond.
No.
Their grandmother and Stevazar are left behind, staring at scorched stone. The forest breathes freely again. But somewhere beyond the sealed portal, three brave children have landed in a world no one from the seven realms has ever seen.
