Flowing Years is the first volume of Collected Poems of Yajun Chen, featuring approximately 275 poems written between 2007 and 2020. It is both a poetic record of time and a testament to the author's long-standing commitment to literary creation.
The collection celebrates nature, the changing seasons, everyday experiences, and the quiet emotions that shape human life. Alongside lyrical poems inspired by flowers, moonlight, autumn landscapes, and the rhythms of the year, the book includes Chen's distinctive Olive Poems-short reflections that reveal wisdom through simplicity.
Blending the elegance of traditional Chinese poetic sensibility with the clarity of modern free verse, Chen writes with sincerity, warmth, and careful observation. Her poems invite readers to pause, reflect, and rediscover the beauty hidden within ordinary moments.
Like time itself, these poems flow gently yet leave a lasting echo.
